Enrollment

Every member of each Haudenosaunee Nation is enrolled at time of birth.

The Cayuga Nation follows the mother's side. Children of a Cayuga mother will also be members of the Cayuga Nation, as well as belonging to the same clan as their mother. 

The Cayuga Nation tracks the genealogy of each member, reaching back to their oldest ancestor up to present day. The Cayuga Nation can go back to the early 1800's when members were at Buffalo Creek, New York.
