Calving Season at LakeView Cattle Company

𝗖𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝗟𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗩𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆.

Two calves have made their debut; wobbly‑legged, curious, and quickly learning to keep up with the herd. They’re the first of what we expect will be about 25 calves this Spring, with a handful more due in the Fall. Each calf represents more than just growth; they’re part of the ongoing work to maintain a healthy, sustainable herd that will one day feed members of the 𝗖𝗮𝘆𝘂𝗴𝗮 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

As each mother cow gets close to her due date, she’s gently moved into the medical barn a quieter space where she can be watched closely. The team checks on her day and night, making sure she’s comfortable and ready. Spring at LakeView is a season of new life, and calving time adds its own kind of energy—early‑morning checks, quiet moments in the barn, and the first sight of a newborn calf taking its first steps.
