Every member of each Haudenosaunee Nation is enrolled from the time of birth. The Cayuga Nation follows the mother's side. A Cayuga Mother and all her children will be members of the Cayuga Nation along with the same clan as the mother.
The Cayuga Nation does track the genealogy of each member. It goes from the farthest back ancestor up to the present of the enrolled member documented. Today, the Cayuga Nation can go back to the early 1800's when we were at Buffalo Creek, New York.
For any questions regarding genealogy or enrollment and you would like to do some research, please contact the Cayuga Nation office.
